Top Takeaways from RPNA Board Meeting (6/16)

The RPNA held its Board meeting on 6/16. Key takeaways are as follows:

  • Planning continues to go well for the 4th of July Festival.  Detail was included in the June edition of the RP Review (https://riverparksacramento.org/rp-review/river-park-review-archives/), and we will continue to post details in advance of the event.  We are still looking for volunteers to help ensure it is successful. If interested, please e-mail Lisa Cirill at lisacirill@gmail.com
  • The City Council is debating how to use a 102-acre property in Meadowview that the City purchased from the federal government earlier this year. Initially the City planned to focus its use on the homeless. The mayor is now proposing to use a large portion of the property for a youth sports complex for both economic development and to improve amenities in that area.
  • There is still no resolution on the Erlewine Gate.
  • RPNA is seeking one or more volunteers interested in helping with its communications to the neighborhood.  If you are interested, please contact Tony Mader at TonyMader@GMail.com

Our next board meeting is 7/21 at 7:30pm via Zoom.  All residents are welcome to join, and we will distribute an agenda in advance with instructions for how to join.
