Hello! I’m Mario, the owner of Atticman Heating and Air. Born and raised in Sacramento, I’ve
always had a strong connection to my hometown.
My journey into the HVAC business began at the age of 16 while I was still attending El Camino
High School in Carmichael. I joined a small HVAC company, where my initial role involved
answering phones and assisting with office tasks. I steadily progressed from an office role to
becoming a field technician and eventually mastering the installation of HVAC systems. I
learned the HVAC business from the inside out and worked my way up through the ranks.
HVAC instantly clicked with me and I knew right away I had found my life long mission.
As I gained experience working with various HVAC companies, I began to notice a significant
gap in the industry – a lack of exceptional customer service. This realization led me to want to
make a change.
At the age of 23, I took a leap of faith and decided to start my own business, giving it the name
“Atticman”. I wanted a brand that captured my unwavering commitment to excellence to the
Sacramento community. I adopted Atticman as the embodiment of my mindset – a reminder that
we’re always striving to be the very best and we will always put in the hard work. This name
represents more than just a brand; it’s an icon that serves the Sacramento community.
I began with a modest investment – a 1997 Ford Pickup I found on Craigslist for $1500. There
was a catch, though: it LITERALLY would not go in reverse! Strangely enough, this seemed
symbolic because I understood that building the best HVAC company in Sacramento meant
always moving forward and never looking back. I keep a photo of this truck in my office – a
reminder of how we started.
Today, Atticman is widely recognized as one of Sacramento’s premier HVAC service providers.
