Free Trees Planted at Your Home in March!

It’s time to apply for a free tree

The River Park Tree Canopy Project will plant FREE trees in River Park Saturday March 2. This program is a Neighborwoods Project through the Sacramento Tree Foundation. Trees are provided by SMUD. 

We need trees to keep River Park livable as our climate changes. They keep us cool, sequester carbon, improve air quality, reduce energy costs, make communities more social, & increase property value. They help make River Park a special place to live.

 

DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR FREE TREES: FRIDAY FEBRUARY 2

When you are done, the Sacramento Tree Foundation will CALL/EMAIL YOU TO schedule a Tree Foundation Forester to visit your home to determine the best place to plant your tree/s and help you pick the best trees for your yard.

Go to the left side heading “Find your tree.” Click on the “Available for Free” option to see the free trees available through this program.

Note: MANY TREES WORK IN LOW-WATER LANDSCAPING.  Under “Features” click “Water wise” for low-water needs trees.
