๐จ Help Keep River Park Safe โ Join Our Neighborhood Watch! ๐จ
The River Park Neighborhood Association (RPNA) is looking for volunteers to help keep our community safe and vibrant! With the return of Paradise Beach after construction, we want to make sure underage drinking and other negative activities donโt creep back into our neighborhood.
What we need:
Weโre aiming for a Neighborhood Watch team of 10-12 volunteers who can patrol the area at different times, especially Friday & Saturday nights from 10pm to midnight (May to August). ๐
But there are MANY ways to get involved!
Walking the Neighborhood: Wear a Neighborhood Watch vest while walking your dog, jogging, or cycling โ especially in the evening hours. ๐ถโโ๏ธ๐๐ดโโ๏ธ
Driving Patrols: Help patrol the area in your car between midnight and 5am. ๐
Break It Down: Donโt want to patrol the whole neighborhood? No problem! We can break it down into 3 areas:
1๏ธโฃ Glen Hall to Moddison
2๏ธโฃ Moddison to H Street
3๏ธโฃ Erlewine to Carlson and Moddison
Commitment:
Patrol 2-3 times a month ๐๏ธ
Attend 4-6 meetings a year at Fremont Church (about 1 hour each) ๐๏ธ
Report Any Issues:
Underage drinking at the park or Paradise Beach ๐บ
Vandalism, graffiti, or theft ๐ฅ
Trouble with homelessness ๐๏ธ
๐ River Park Patrol works hand-in-hand with our local Police and Emergency Services to provide them with an accurate picture of neighborhood events. This collaboration ensures that resources are allocated where they’re needed most, keeping our community safe and well-supported. ๐ฎโโ๏ธ๐
