New City Program Providing 3 Meals/Day for Residents 65+ or those with COVID-19

The City asked RPNA to help get the word out about what sounds like a great new program where the City provides three meals per day to individuals meeting either of the following two criteria:

  1. Residents 65 or older who have incomes below $75k (single) or $103k (two living together); or,
  2. Residents who are COVID-19 positive.

The goal of the program is to keep sensitive folks at home while helping them meet their nutritional needs.

The City is contracting with local restaurants to make this happen, so it will help local businesses.

Those who think they are eligible can call 311 to sign up or get more information.

If you have neighbors who are 65+, please help make sure they are aware of this program.

The City will likely be pushing out more formal information (e.g., flyers), and we will follow-up when we have more detailed information to share.
